Ray Hrdlicka – Host – Chiropractors.Media
Hi, this is Ray Hrdlicka, your host for Chiropractors.Media. Today, we’re sitting with someone special, a chiropractor by the name of Alan Bonebrake, who’s been practicing for 45 years as a Chiropractor, but today, his practice is geared towards helping other Chiropractors.
What we should do right off the bat, I want to get out his credentials. I want to tell you about his credentials. Of course, practicing 45 years, but more than that, certifications from a number of different areas within chiropractic. And now let’s talk about his professional accomplishments.
He has personally practiced chiropractic for a number of professional sports teams of football, soccer, hockey. He has been on the radio with a live radio show for fifteen years. Been interviewed by mainstream media dozens and dozens of times. Written books. I can’t even name… there’s so many of them. So, we’re going to bring those up little by little as we talk more with Alan about the, needless to say, wonderful work life that he has had in Chiropractor.
But more importantly, we’re going to talk about why his practice today is geared towards helping other chiropractors. So today, we want to welcome Alan. Thank you. Let’s have a little self-disclosure here. I have known Alan Bonebrake. I call him Al. I’ve known him for 40, 45 years. We were in our early 20s.

Well, I’m glad, I’m glad. Let’s ask, let me ask and give us an answer as to why after 45 years and the vast amount of experience that you have as a chiropractor, and what you’ve learned, why you’re gearing your practice towards educational seminars for other chiropractors. Why did you make that change?
Alan Bonebrake – Teaching Chiropractor – Plano, Texas
Well, when I was in chiropractic college, I kind of did something probably unique. I did four years and three, and I took seminars from other experts in different areas of chiropractic and nutrition and acupuncture every other weekend. So, I actually did about five years in three.
And actually at that time, I came up with things that nobody was teaching me. I showed them to the people who were teaching the seminars. Of course, the student, they’ll take it and they’ll say they came up with it. Didn’t give a student, you know, any credit for it, which I found a little bit annoying.
But anyway, I kind of figured at some point I would get certified in a lot of those different areas, become certified teacher for some, which I did, and then come up with my own techniques, a lot of them, do research studies, which I did, on carpal tunnel syndrome and got placed in the index medicus, which is very difficult to do, and then two other follow-up studies.
And I figured from that point, I taught off and on for others. Then I started slowly teaching mine to get a feedback on it. And here about 12, 13 years ago, I made a bigger commitment and I started teaching 44 weekends out of the year, two other chiropractors. And most of the things that I teach, lay public can come to.
And so, I’ve had MDs, chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, some lay people come to them. And I got a lot of feedback because I would have people treating each other at the seminars. And they would send emails to me. And so, I have a number of selfie testimonials, both from the people that I treated and from those, they talk about how they treated others, what the results were.
And I have a lot on, I have like 250, just vocals, that I’m preparing to put online and I have thousands of written testimonials.
