You’ve mentioned techniques. Obviously, there’s a number of different techniques. Why did you zero in on what you practice, and then tell me about those?
Ken Frederick – Chiropractor – Port Orchard, Washington
Well, the techniques that all chiropractors pursue are techniques that they’re interested in, that they’re naturally drawn to and seem to agree with their thoughts. The techniques that I like to use are Thompson drop table, sacro occipital technique, manual diversified adjusting technique. I do a lot of extremity adjusting. A lot of chiropractors do not do that or simply because at my school, it was an additional class that you didn’t get, it was an alternative class that you didn’t have to take if you didn’t want to. It was not a condition of graduation, but it was something that I was interested in. It was a class I became certified in. And so in that way, I can do as much as I can with what I’m comfortable from.
Those techniques that I mentioned, they’re the ones that interested me the most. They’re the ones that I naturally do well. There are others that I don’t naturally do well. So, I don’t do those techniques, but I know other chiropractors that do. And they’re a referral resource if I need them.
