You’ve got a number of things that can avoid this issue. So, the situation today might be different from 5 years, 10 years, 20 years ago. You’re not going to be able to get 6 DUI’s, 7 DUI’s, like we’ve seen back then. So, many times, a 3rd DUI, you may be looking at prison. It all depends on how bad…did somebody get hurt? What happened?

Obviously, you need to have an attorney. You need to be able to get an attorney, a public defender or a private attorney, and you need to work with that person. Because the prison time, the jail time, on DUI’s, when you start getting more than one, can be significant.
