“Well, I’m hesitant to suggest that the average person really would know how to handle their claim. However, realistically, if someone’s only had, as I said, maybe one or two doctor’s appointments, no emergency room visit, no ambulance, not even x-rays, but they’re simply sore and they had a headache for a couple days, if their medical bills are two or three hundred dollars, it’s not economically attractive for an attorney. So, in that situation, the individual, assuming they have no liability or no contribution to their own injuries, can work out something relatively minor with the insurance company and resolve the case on their own. It really becomes more significant when the injuries are lasting, and they are more than just incidental, for the moment.”
