My Husband Needs To Go To Work After A Domestic Violence Arrest. What Happens Now?

Ray Hrdlicka – Bail Agent – Bail Bond Cowboys

“Hi, Ray Hrdlicka. Bail Bond Cowboys. Now, a question that we get asked, on a fairly regular basis, the wife calls us and says, ‘hey, I want to bail my husband out because he needs to go to work. We can’t lose his job. He needs to go to work.’ So, we’re going to get him out, domestic violence charge, we’re going to get him out of jail, but the wife asks us ‘now what happens?’

Well, there’s a couple of different scenarios here. Did he get a stay-away order from the jail regarding you? It’s probably a standard procedure, sometimes it doesn’t happen, most of the time it does. Well, if that’s the case, he can’t go back to the house. If he’s at the house then, and something happens, a cop shows up, he gets another charge, another domestic violence charge, and he gets a violation of that stay-away order. So, we don’t want that. You want let all the situation just…kind of…settle down. That’s the word I am looking for here. Settle down and take care of it throughout the court case. You don’t want to make any more issues, you don’t want to create any more situations where the husband, you, if I’m talking to you, are going to get in trouble. That’s very important.

So, if you don’t get a stay-away order, you can go back to the house. You can live there. But I caution the same thing. No more issues. Because the second time around, it’s not going to be as easy. You won’t get out, the bail will be higher, the charge will be more, it’s just going to compile, and compile more charges amongst each other. Not good, okay?

You want to be able to take care of this first situation without accentuating, without making it worse. So, you’ve got to find out whether there’s a stay-away order, there’s not a stay-away order. If there’s a stay-away order you cannot go back to the house, you’ve got to live somewhere else. Now when you go back into court, you can ask for that to be lifted so you can go live at the house. You’re going to get some counseling. There’s going to be required domestic violence counseling.

So, you’re going to have to deal with that, but that’s what you need to pay attention to when we bail you out. They’re going to give you those orders. You’re going to pay attention to them. Allright?
