How The Bail Bond Process Works?

Ray Hrdlicka – Bail Agent – Bail Bond Cowboys

“Hello, I’m Ray Hrdlicka, and you’re watching this video because more than likely, you got the call from somebody who says ‘get me out of jail!’  Okay, now it’s a very serious thing…the circumstances that you’re in. And we understand that, but let me tell you the process can be relatively straightforward and simple, if you’re willing to help us help you.

So, let me explain a little bit.  This is how bail process works.  Somebody’s in jail… your loved one, friend, family member.  You want to get them out.  Let’s use an example here, okay?  $10,000.   That’s what the bail is.  Now, you can either take $10,000 cash, bring it down to the jail, give it to them, and that person is going to get released.  Most people don’t have $10,000, realistically.  So that’s the reason they call me… a bail bondsman.   A Bail Agent in our industry terms.  They call us because we’re going to post a bond with the jail and the fee for posting that bond, the $10,000 bond, is $1,000.  It’s set by the state of California.  It’s 10%, and in some special circumstances, it’s 8%.  You need to call me and ask if you qualify.  So, it could be thousand dollars, or $800.  That’s the first thing.  There’s a fee for us to go down to the jail to post the bail.

The second thing is… we don’t know the person, we don’t know your loved one.  We need to have somebody that you know… to be responsible to us to make sure that person goes to court.  That’s called a cosigner.  Now, depending upon the size of the bail, you know, if it’s $1 million, you’re going to need some real estate… so we know that that person will go to court.  But 99% of the time if it’s a smaller bond, like the $10,000 bond, you’re just going to need to sign a contract that says, ‘I’m going to be responsible for that person to go to court’. Really simple, and it’s quick, it’s easy to do.  We can do it at the jail, we can do it at your house, we can take care of the paperwork at Denny’s restaurant, for all that matters, right?  It’s very, very simple once you make the decision to call us to help you out.

You can either post cash, you can call a bail bondsman, and in some cases, you can use real estate.  That’s a really long process, but those are the only three ways to get out of jail.  It’s how the bail process works.  The easiest way is to call us.  Call me. Ray Hrdlicka.  We’ll be able to get you out of this serious situation.  You’re going to have to take care of it, but we can help you out and get that person out of jail for you.”
